Our Process of Producing Excellent Musical Theatre

1. PLANNING

Each AMT musical begins with an extensive amount of research and planning.  Our production staff works diligently to create a unique production design.

2. CASTING

The most difficult process of building an AMT musical is selecting the cast.  Getting all of our talented students on all stage is crucial to our success.

3. REHEARSING

Our students understand the importance of rehearsal attendance and dedicate themselves to focused preparation for each production.

4. POLISHING

Once the music, lines, and choreography have been learned, the real work begins.  Polishing the show is the most intense part of the AMT process.

5. PERFORMING

The most rewarding part of the AMT process is each performance.  We are proud to continue our tradition of excellence of musical theatre.

AMT is Proud to be EdTA Troupe 7023

By the gods, AMT had a EPIC weekend at the Alabama State Thespian Festival! A few highlights include:
- AMT Senior Carson Reed exhibiting tremendous leadership abilities as State Thespian Officer.
- Mr. Hyatt being honored at the opening ceremony by the Alabama Educational Theatre Association as Troupe Director of the year.
- Arab theatre students engaging in dozens of workshops with theatre professionals from across the country, in everything from Caribbean dance to puppetry!
- Every cast and crew member coming together to overcome rain, fire alarms and a tight schedule to build, perform and strike a fantastic performance of XANADU for nearly 1,000 of their peers!

I had such a good time. It was quite an adventure watching EVERYTHING it takes to perform a successful show in less than 12 hours start to finish.
